Cette pièce est le second volet d’une séquence d’œuvres vidéos en rapport avec la mémoire et le flux d’images. J’y travaille un fonds d’archives, qui me sont à la fois personnelles et étrangères, publiques,perdues et retrouvées.La narration démarre aussi à partir de la même anecdote de la NASA, et ses répercussions relevant de l’infime, notamment sur ce corps aqueux qui forme une grande partie de cet espace. De cette figure du cheveu j’en déroule le récit de la vidéo, par la coupe de mes cheveux, en passant par le flux de l’eau et le flux des images, traversés par la mémoire fugace de mes images d’archives. Le tout est entrecoupé par une scène présentant trois récipients en 3D par lesquels une eau coule, représentant une version simplifiée d’une clepsydre, soit une horloge à eau, qui dans l’antiquité, était utilisée pour contenir les prises de paroles lors d’un oratoire.<br />
<br />
<i>Il est question de flux. Du flux de l’eau, du flux des images et celui de la mémoire collective, que l'on peine à saisir. Celui qui ramène des objets en sa surface qui nous font questionner ce que l'on pensait savoir de soi-même. <br />

‘‘Eau, premier chapitre’’ est une vidéo qui s'appuie sur la captation de la coupe de mes cheveux, à laquelle s'ajoute une dizaine de plans séquences liés à l’eau, des objets virtuels en 3D et des images d’archives. Celle-ci découle de recherches croisées, notamment après ma résidence à la Source Garouste, autour de la poétique du processus de transformation de l’eau, comme un flux, un corps, un espace, mais aussi comme un support de mémoires. Cette vidéo est une vidéo in-situ, retravaillée pour inclure son lieu de projection dans le montage, ici la salle de bains de la Villa de Guelma.

‘‘Water, first chapter’’ is a video based on the footage of <br />
my hair being cut, to which are added a dozen sequence shots related to water, virtual 3D objects and archive images. <br />
It stems from crossed researches, particularly following my residency at La Source Garouste, on the poetics of water transformation, as a flow, a body, a space, but also as a medium for memories. This video is an in-situ video, reworked to include its projection location in the editing, in this case the bathroom of the Villa de Guelma. This piece is the second part of a sequence of video works related to memory and the flow of images.<br />
<br />
I’m working here with an archive that is at once personal and foreign,public, lost and found.This narrative also starts from the same NASA anecdote and its minor repercussions, particularly on the watery body that forms a large part of this space. From this image of hair, I unfold the narrative of the video, through the cutting of my hair, the flow of water and the flow of images, intertwined with the fleeting memory of my archive images. The whole thing is punctuated with a scene showing three 3D containers through which water flows, representing a simplified version of a clepsydra, or water clock, which in ancient times was used to time speeches in an oratory.<br />
<br />
<i>It is about flow. The flow of water, the flow of images and that of collective memory, which is difficult to grasp. The one that brings objects to the surface that make us question what we thought we knew about ourselves.<br />

<u>Suspended waters</u><h5>This
work consists in suspending from branches of the trees in the park,
translucent tubes, filled with water from the river. It’s something
about sound, or silence. Something about water, trees and people.
Sometimes they are icicles, chemical tubes or just falling rain. With
enough wind, they seem like oversized chimes. But mostly the work is
about the blending of the water elements and tree elements, an
unfinished quest about harmony. </h5>

A
book like an overview of the hidden territories which are disappearing
for half a second, or two, when we're waiting for the picture to arrive
completely, because it's not really here yet, on our laptop screens. If
we suspend this instant infinitely, it's like all theses gaps in the
picture doesn't really exist. All theses places which are waiting to be
re-written. To be discovered. So with the editing and the layout of the
book, I fulfill theses absences with the text, I create places with the
rhythm between the words and the lines.<br />

<h5><u>Turas (a journey)</u><br /><br />
The
Papar, monks from the gaëlic church, were one of the first groups to
live on icelandic grounds, before the danish colonization, so before the
IXe century. They were travelling monks, searching for ideal places to
spend silent retreats. They dug caves, still visible today, in which
traces and engravings can still be found. Crosses, drawn like they
could, consciously or not, create an avatar of a church or a monastery,
as if they never left, still in the same place.<br />
<br />Turas, in Old Irish language means migration, expedition, pilgrimage.<br />

<h5><u>Turas (a journey)</u></h5>Les Papar, moines de l’église gaëlique, étaient un des premiers groupes à investir les sols d’Islande, avant la colonisation des nordiques,donc avant le IXe siècle. C’était des moines voyageurs, partis à la recherche de lieux propices aux retraites silencieuses.<br />
Ils ont creusé des grottes, toujours existantes aujourd’hui, dans lesquelles on retrouve toujours des traces, et des gravures, des croix orientées comme dans un monastère ou une église.<br />
Comme si, consciemment ou non, ils avaient<br />
créé un semblant de leurs lieux d’origine,<br />
comme si ils étaient toujours au même endroit,qu’importe la distance parcourue. Comme si ils n’étaient jamais partis.<br />
<br />
Turas, en vieil irlandais signife le trajet,l’expédition, le pèlerinage.<br />

<u>Filling Voids</u><h5>Vidéo
muette qui montre un puzzle, un trajet et toutes les données inconnues
qui s’y attachent. Elle est présentée dans une table, comme si on
pouvait y avoir un rôle à y jouer. On s'y retrouve en surplomb, comme
une recherche Google maps, dont l'on détruit les pixels. L'objet de
cette vidéo est de refaire un itinéraire hypothétique, sur ce puzzle qui
est aussi une carte, d'un personnage qui part de de la Chine jusqu'à la
France mais dont on n'a pas plus de détails, qui en réalité est inspiré
de mon histoire familiale.<br />
<br />Le trajet de ce personnage enfoui dans le déni et dont le passé, qui est
aussi le passé de ceux qui forment sa descendance, ne revient que par
morceaux infimes à travers l’enquête menée pour le retrouver. J'enlève
des pièces au fur et à mesure que le personnage avance, comme si ce qui
était derrière lui n'existait plus. Un texte accompagne l'action, qui
raconte son histoire mais se présente plus comme un questionnement
interne sur la vie de ce personnage qui n'est pas nommé.<br />

<u>Filling Voids</u><br />
<br />A
silent video that displays a puzzle, a journey, and all the unknown
data associated with it. It is presented on a table, as if one could
play a role in it. The perspective is from above, like a Google Maps
search where pixels are being destroyed. The purpose of this video is to
recreate a hypothetical route on this puzzle, which is also a map, of a
character travelling from China to France, but with no additional
details, inspired by my family history.<br />
<br />The itinerary of a man buried in deny, with a past shaping the future of
his offsprings. It only resurfaces in tiny pieces through the
investigation conducted to find him. I remove pieces as the character
advances, as if what is behind him no longer exists. A text accompanies
the action, narrating his story but presenting more as an internal
questioning about the life of this unnamed character.<br />

Il
y a quelque chose de similaire entre scruter sa propre réflexion ou
sonder des photos de famille. Il y a toujours une part d’étrange dans ce
que l’on pense connaître, de ces éléments qui nous sont proches sans
vraiment l’être. Dans mes images, qui sont des archives familiales
représentant mon grand-père en lorsqu'il jouait toujours avec sa
compagnie de cirque, l'information n'est jamais entièrement accessible.
Pixellisée, elle vient s'apposer sur des miroirs, ce qui fait que,
suivant la distance à laquelle l'oeil se trouve, l'image est soit trop
floue, soit est empêchée par le reflet de la personne qui l'observe. Ces
images appartiennent à une fiction commune. Savoir d’où l’on vient, de
s’accrocher à des certitudes, quitte à croire en les récits que l’on se
crée pour recouvrir les manques à combler.<br />

<br />
That’s
the same thing, at the end, glancing at our own reflection, on a
mirror, or searching through family pictures. There is always a sense of
strangeness in what we think we know, elements that are close to us
without truly being so. In my images, which are family archives
depicting my grandfather when he used to play with his circus company,
information is never entirely accessible. Pixelated, it is overlaid on
mirrors, so depending on the distance from which the eye observes, the
image is either too blurry or obstructed by the reflection of the person
observing it. These images belong to a shared fiction. Knowing where
one comes from, clinging to certainties, even if it means believing in
the narratives we create to fill the gaps.</h5>

<i>Couper avec un élastique, sous le niveau de l’eau</i>, est l’aboutissement de mes deux mois de recherches en résidence à la source Garouste. J’ai travaillé en accueillant, au fur et à mesure des pluies, l’eau de l’étang artificiel situé au dessus de mon atelier. J’ai cherché l’infiltration, un filet, un fil.J’ai fait du papier avec l’eau de la crue. J’ai repensé à cette anecdote que j’avais trouvée sur le site de la NASA il y a quelques temps, sur le diamètre de la planète, variant chaque année de l’équivalent d’un cheveu humain. <br />J’ai coupé mes cheveux. <br />

I worked in my studio space, welcoming the water from the artificial pond above during the rains.I searched for the seepage, the leak. Thin as a wire. I did paper with water from the flood. I thought about this fact I found a few years ago on the NASA website, about the radius of the earth, changing each year, loosing or gaining less than a milimeter, equivalent to a human hair. <br />I cut my hair.<br />

Maps</u><br /><br />
Fait partie d'un corpus d'oeuvres, tout comme Google Conquests et
Six answers and one unanswered question, construit autour d'un voyage de
recherches en 2018, où je suis partie à Nuuk, la capitale du Groenland.
Le but de ce départ était une étude sur les cartes, et de rencontrer
les conservateurs et archivistes du Greenland National Museum. <br />
<br />Cette pièce consiste en une projection d'une composition photo, de
détails comme cartographiés, collectés pour mieux comprendre les lieux.
Ce sont des photographies de Nuuk, pendant la campagne pour l’élection
d’un nouveau parlement, en 2018. Elles collectent des objets qui font un
portrait silencieux de la ville, et de ses habitant·e·s dans un entre-deux, d’un état
semi-indépendant, qui porte encore le poids de la colonisation. Une ville ouvrière, en reconstruction. Ces images sont projetées
sur des photos de documents, de cartes coloniales capturées lors
d'entretiens avec les archivistes de la ville. L'installation forme une
superposition, qui tente de tisser un lien entre l'histoire du
territoire et la situation fragile du pays.<br /><span style="--font-scale: 0.65;"><br />

Maps</u> <br /><br />
Is part of a corpus, much like "Google Conquests" and "Six
Answers and One Unanswered Question," constructed around a research trip
in 2018 to Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. The purpose of this journey
was to study maps and meet with curators and archivists at the Greenland
National Museum.<br />
<br />This artwork
consists of a projection of a photo composition, detailing as mapped
and collected to better understand the locations. The photographs depict
Nuuk during the campaign for a new parliament election in 2018. They
capture objects and create a silent portrait of the city and its inhabitants, in the in-between.A semi-independent state, carrying the weight of colonization. A working-class city, under reconstruction. These
images are projected onto photos of documents and colonial maps captured
during interviews with the city's archivists. The installation forms an
overlay, attempting to weave a connection between the territory's
history and the fragile situation of the country.<br />

<h5><u>Six Answers and one unanswered question</u><br /><br />
In 2018, I met Dennis Møller, a filmmaker who was still living in Nuuk at the time.</h5>
<h5>With
his assistance, I conducted three interviews based on seven open-ended
questions addressing the relationship between oneself and the places of
origin (such as "how do you perceive the relationship between you and
your country?"). The interviews involved three young adults from Nuuk
sharing their perspectives on the city, encompassing the present, past,
and future.</h5>

is a series of question-and-answer exchanges, and the dialogue is in
Kalaallisut. The installation, based on these interviews and created in
2021, is punctuated by these three voices and different viewpoints,
sequenced in succession. They respond to both a subtitle projection,
scrolling like credits, and three LED strips displaying the fragmented
questions.</h5><h5>At
the base of the wall is a photo of a banner hung on the rocks with a
faded message. The elements confront the space and play on different
resonances.</h5>

En 2018, J'ai rencontré Dennis Møller, cinéaste, qui habitait encore à Nuuk à l'époque.<br />
<br />Avec son aide, j'ai réalisé 3 interviews, reposant sur sept questions
ouvertes portant sur le rapport entre soi et les lieux dont l'on peut
être originaire ( comme "how do you perceive the relationship between
you and your country?"), soit de trois jeunes adultes originaires de
Nuuk et leur regard sur la ville, au présent, au passé et au futur.<br />
<br />C'est un jeu de questions-réponses, et le dialogue est en kalaallisut.
L’installation basée sur ces interviews, réalisée en 2021, et est

<br />
Sont des trajets sur Google Maps, présentés comme une carte de plusieurs fenêtres au mur.</h5><h5>Ceux-ci
reprennent l'itinéraire emprunté par les missions d’exploration les plus
connues effectuées sur les terres du Groenland, durant toute son
histoire marquée par la colonisation. Le principe est de prendre les
mêmes chemins que Robert Peary, William Scoresby, Gustav Holm,
explorateurs historiques qui ont tous laissés leur patronyme sur un
morceau côtier du pays.</h5><h5>J'y
ai aussi survolé les lieux de patrouille de la Sirius Patrol, mission
militaire encore en cours en 2019. Les vues satellites s’effacent
progressivement pour laisser place à un amas de pixels détruits,
révélant que tous ces territoires sont encore cachés à la vue.
Historiquement, les terres du Groenland ont été gagnées
comme des Terra Novae, à travers la cartographie. Aujourd’hui, sur

<br />These
routes trace the paths taken by the most well-known exploration
missions in the lands of Greenland throughout its history marked by
colonization. The idea is to follow the same paths as historical
explorers such as Robert Peary, William Scoresby, Gustav Holm, all of
whom left their names on coastal areas of the country.
I
also flew over the patrolling areas of the Sirius Patrol, a military
mission still ongoing in 2019. Satellite views gradually fade away to
reveal a cluster of destroyed pixels, exposing that these territories
are still hidden from view. Historically, Greenland's lands were
conquered like Terra Novae, through cartography. Today, on Maps, these
places are still obscured, encoded, blurred.

Pièce
réalisée avec Alexis Chrun. Installation interactive, avec performances
d’activations, en demande
d’histoires/mythes/anecdotes/recettes/mémoires de la part du public,
dont l’objet inclut le lotus, dans toutes ses formes.<br />
<br />Nous nous sommes inspirés par les détails intrinsèques relevant presque
du banal et d’un patrimoine culturel. En partant par une installation et
par un poster venant d’Alexis, le principe était d'aborder le public
afin de leur demander une histoire ayant un lien aves le mot "lotus".<br />
<br />J’ai collecté des récits, anecdotes, d’un public aux expériences variées de ce mot à la fois proche et lointain.<br />Enfin, pendant tout l'événement, une seconde partie de la performance
était de semer des graines de lotus, afin que le public en ramène avec
soi, comme une potentielle ramification de l'événement.<br />

There
is still a question of distances in this video, created in 2020. From
the end of 2019 to the beginning of 2020, I lived in Shanghai, but soon
had to leave through the last gate I entered: Pudong International
Airport.<br />
<br />In
anticipation of returning, I explored the possibilities of a virtual
space with the most fleeting characteristics: search engines, during a
certain nostalgia for the places.<br />
<br />So I sat in
a preview, in a window, and I waited. It's as if, for a few moments, I
settled into the transition, on the precise location of the gate. A
simple gesture, seemingly, just to stay. Meanwhile, throughout the
video, a sound composition is offered using various recordings I made in
Pudong, recomposed, altered, intertwined with reverberations and
echoes.<br />
<br />This video
is almost like a place, like a Zoom meeting. Almost an airport, in which
is shown a waiting moment without any ending or beginning, except the
time limit of the film.<br />

Il
y a encore une question de distance présente dans cette vidéo, réalisée
en 2020. De la fin de l'année 2019 au début de l'année 2020, j'ai
habité à Shanghai, pour devoir la quitter, par le dernier portail par
lequel d'ailleurs j'y suis arrivée : Pudong International Airport.<br />
<br />Dans l'attente d'y retourner, j'ai exploré les possibilités d’un espace
virtuel aux caractéristiques les plus fugaces : les moteurs de
recherches, lors d'une certaine nostalgie des lieux.<br />
<br />Je me suis donc assise dans un aperçu, dans une fenêtre, et j'ai
attendu. C’est comme si quelques instants, je m'étais installée dans la
transition, sur la localisation précise du portail. Un geste, qui parait
simple et qui consiste juste à rester. Pendant ce temps, sur toute la
durée de la vidéo, est proposée une composition sonore des différents
enregistrements que j'ai pu faire à Pudong, recomposés, altérés,
entremélés de reverbérations et d'échos. <br />
<br />Cette vidéo
est presque comme un lieu, comme une réunion Zoom. Presque un aéroport,
où est montré un moment d'attente sans fin ni début, sauf la limite de
temps du film.<br />

Gateways</u></h5><h5>"Ending
Gateways" is a sound installation that stages a text exploring
geographical similarities and urban parallels, particularly between the
location where the piece is displayed in Clichy and Shanghai.<br />
<br />It involves a
read and broadcasted text discussing flows, the internet, routes, WiFi,
and movements. It delves into suspended locations, like those in
Clichy, near Paris, hovering above peripheral roads.<br />
<br />The text is
dual, both auditory and visual, displayed on a TV screen and surrounded
by escaped ADSL cables hanging from the ceiling. Another screen,
suspended from the ceiling, shows a single luminous point in
transparency, seemingly moving as the screen diffuses the anticipation
of the satellite signal.<br />
<br />I thought
about the shared workshop in Shanghai and a collection of similar
places, also situated atop a tower, above a continuous stream of
traffic. In a way, this tower was just a pretext to share my reflections
on flows, to adopt a satellite viewpoint similar to Google or Baidu
Maps. Ring Roads are quite common, in cities, but also on the online network. <br />

est une installation sonore, qui met en scène un texte qui
porte sur des similarités géographiques et des parallèles urbains,
particulièrement entre le lieu dans laquelle la pièce est montrée, à
Clichy, et Shanghai.<br />
<br />C’est un texte lu, diffusé, qui parle de flux,d’internet, des routes, du
WIFI et de mouvements. De lieux suspendus au dessus, comme à Clichy,
près de Paris, en surplomb des voies périphériques. <br />
<br />Le texte est double, à la fois sonore et visuel, montré sur un écran de
TV, et cotoie des câbles ADSL qui se sont échappés du plafond. Une autre
vitre d'écran, suspendue au plafond, montre en transparence un seul
point lumineux, qui parait se mouvoir car cette vitre diffuse l'attente
du signal satellite. <br />
<br />J'ai pensé à l'atelier partagé, à Shanghai, et à une somme d’endroits
similaires, eux aussi en haut d’une tour, au dessus d’un courant
automobile continu. Quelque part, cette tour n'était juste qu'un
prétexte pour partager mes réflexions sur les flux, d'investir un point
de vue satellitaire comme sur Google, ou Baidu Maps.<br />

This
video is part of a collection of pieces created in recent years, where
the waiting becomes the place of the boundary, embodied by the figure of
the airport. It is supported by a virtual airport that one explores,
both in the space of the three-dimensional object and through
photographs and small videos collected in various airports. The space
being traversed is the place of my reflections and thoughts, unfolding
through the narrative in the background of the video. An abstraction
that clings to the universal reality of geographical boundaries and
their status as in-between, confrontations, and crossings. This applies
to bodies, whether physical or not, depending on the type of airport.
How does the experience of waiting become universal and transmit itself
to individuals who have traversed these places, who have boarded the
plane, or those who have remained on the ground.<br />

Cette
vidéo s’inscrit dans un ensemble de pièces réalisées durant ces
dernières années, par lesquelles l’attente devient le lieu de la
frontière, par la figure de l’aéroport. Elle vient s'appuyer par un
aéroport virtuel que l'on vient explorer, dans l'espace de l'objet en
trois dimensions, mais aussi au moyen de photographies et de petites
vidéos collectées dans plusieurs aéroports différents. Ce lieu que l'on
traverse est celui de mes réflexions qui se déroulent par le récit en
fond sonore de la vidéo. Une abstraction qui s’accroche à la réalité
universelle des limites géographiques et de leur statut d’entre-deux, de
confrontations et de traversées. Qui s'appliquent à des corps,
physiques ou non suivant le type d'aéroport. Comment l’expérience de
l’attente se fait universelle, et se transmet, à des individus qui ont
traversé les lieux, qui ont embarqué au bord de l'avion ou ceux qui sont
restés au sol.<br />

<h5><u>Keeping the seeding rates at the crossroads</u><br /><br />
Événement
de restitution de résidence à l'Atelier Saegher, à Bruxelles.
Installation, pensée comme un retour à la terre par le biais de pièces
de surplus électroniques glanés pendant l'ensemble de la résidence.<br />
<br />L'élément narratif était la graine, seed, dont la présence était
matérialisée par des graines de tournesol, installées dans l'espace mais
aussi ingérées lors de performances.<br />
<br />Un lecture performée à trois voix venait activer l'installation, du
texte SEED, lu avec Blanche et Louise Lafarge. SEED, c'est un texte que
que j'ai écrit en amont de la résidence.<br />
<br />C’était l’eau et c’était le vent. Les Seeding Rates, c'était le terreau
de l'après numérique et des micro-territoires en mutation. De ces corps
en graines que l'on a scannées pour ensuite les ressortir du réseau, car
celui-ci ne pouvait plus nous atteindre. On s'est entourées des chutes
que la production toujours connectée s'est déchargée pour y enfouir ces
enveloppes suspendues.<br />
<br />Impénétrables, elles perdureront dans le temps et l’espace. Internes,
internet et IRL. Le bleu de l’incendie. Elles feront révolution autour
des surfaces closes comme des portes dans l’attente d’être crochetées.<br />

<h5><u>Keeping the seeding rates at the crossroads</u><br /><br />
Event
for the residency restitution at Atelier Saegher in Brussels.
Installation conceived as a return to the earth through pieces of
electronic surplus collected throughout the residency.<br />
<br />The
narrative element was the seed, "seed," whose presence was materialized
by sunflower seeds installed in the space and also ingested during
performances.<br />
<br />A
three-voice performed reading activated the installation, featuring the
text "SEED," read with Blanche and Louise Lafarge. SEED is a text that I
wrote prior to the residency.<br />
<br />It was
water, and it was wind. The Seeding Rates were the soil of the
post-digital and mutating micro-territories. From these bodies in seeds
that we scanned to then pull them out
of the network because it could no longer reach us. We surrounded
ourselves with the remnants discharged by the always-connected
production to bury these suspended envelopes.<br />
<br />Impenetrable,
they will endure through time and space. Internal, internet, and IRL.
The blue of the fire. They will revolve around closed surfaces like
doors waiting to be picked.<br />

<h5><u>Keeping the seeding rates at the crossroads</u><br /><br />
Événement
de restitution de résidence à l'Atelier Saegher, à Bruxelles.
Installation, pensée comme un retour à la terre par le biais de pièces
de surplus électroniques glanés pendant l'ensemble de la résidence.<br />
<br />L'élément narratif était la graine, seed, dont la présence était
matérialisée par des graines de tournesol, installées dans l'espace mais
aussi ingérées lors de performances.<br />
<br />Un lecture performée à trois voix venait activer l'installation, du
texte SEED, lu avec Blanche et Louise Lafarge. SEED, c'est un texte que
que j'ai écrit en amont de la résidence.<br />
<br />C’était l’eau et c’était le vent. Les Seeding Rates, c'était le terreau
de l'après numérique et des micro-territoires en mutation. De ces corps
en graines que l'on a scannées pour ensuite les ressortir du réseau, car
celui-ci ne pouvait plus nous atteindre. On s'est entourées des chutes
que la production toujours connectée s'est déchargée pour y enfouir ces
enveloppes suspendues.<br />
<br />Impénétrables, elles perdureront dans le temps et l’espace. Internes,
internet et IRL. Le bleu de l’incendie. Elles feront révolution autour
des surfaces closes comme des portes dans l’attente d’être crochetées.<br />

designed with Alexis Chrun. With Alexis, we worked on an archive video
in several ways, through object collection and transformation, in
response to the plate motif in the video and its lack of sound. Once
arranged in space, we examine these objects as one would with a picture
book. We hear a sound, which is actually a transformation of a segment
of the video, decomposed into several hundred images and transformed
into synthetic sounds using the software Photosounder. Ultimately, with
Alexis, we told each other stories about the archives that were, in
fact, digital. We built a screen-to-screen narrative, reflections on a
stage, and empty boxes that give way to the words left unsaid.<br />

conçue avec Alexis Chrun. Avec Alexis, On a travaillé sur une vidéo
d'archive de plusieurs façons, par collecte d'objets, et par
transformation, en réaction au motif de l'assiette présente dans la
vidéo et au manque de son. Une fois mis en espace, on se penche sur ces
objets comme l’on pourrait le faire avec un livre d’images. On y écoute
un son, qui en réalité est une transformation d'un morceau de la vidéo,
décomposé en plusieurs centaines d'images et transformées, à l'aide du
logiciel Photosounder, en sons synthétiques. Au final, avec Alexis, on
s’est raconté des histoires sur les archives qui en fait étaient
numériques. Nous avons construit un récit d’écran à écran, de reflets
sur un plateau et d’espaces en boîtes vides qui laissent place aux mots
qui sont tûs.<br />

Noise Behind the Window est une lecture performée, montrée pour la
première fois pendant le festival BYOB, à Vincennes, en 2023. Celle-ci
s'appuie sur un texte du même nom, qui semble faire le tour d'un espace
d'attente métaphorique. Le but est de communiquer un état transi du
corps qui s'ancre dans cet espace, qui devient un lieu de passage, par
le biais d’un enchainement d’images mentales.<br />

Noise Behind the Window" is a reading performance, first showcased
during the BYOB festival in Vincennes in 2023. It is based on a text of
the same name, seemingly circumnavigating a metaphorical waiting space.
The aim is to convey a transient state of the body anchored in this
space, which becomes a passage, through a sequence of mental images.<br />

<br />The Noise Behind The Window<br />
<br />Est une lecture performée, durant laquelle je lis un texte, en anglais, qui est
une déambulation poétique dans un espace numérique, un espace liminal. La
narration porte sur les lieux qui s’apparentent à des sas. Il aborde le rapport
entre soi et les espaces traversés. Le texte est écrit du point de vue d’un
observateur qui se veut externe, mais qui est aussi interne malgré lui. Le texte
énoncé nous plonge dans un espace d’attente métaphorique, où des images
mentales se suivent, et on se retrouve dépossédés du pouvoir d’intervenir dans
leur enchaînement.<br />
<br />Je soude des enceintes pendant la lecture, et une voix synthétique sort des
enceintes lorsque celles-ci sont soudées. Cette seconde voix va venir doubler
la lecture, car elle récite le même texte, à un rythme di érent du mien. La voix me rattrape dans ma lecture et je m’arrête, et je laisse la voix continuer à ma place. Une projection de sous-titres, bleus, est derrière moi, c’est la
traduction du texte en français. L’ensemble a une durée de 10 minutes. C’est
une performance en cours de développement et a dernièrement été montrée à
Perf:ID, à Paris, en avril.<br />

Est une lampe porte-bonheur, réparée puis augmentée de filtres et de motifs,
suspendue en biais comme balancée par le vent et soudainement arrêtée.<br />Elle y renferme une série d’objets numérisés par photogrammétrie di usés les
uns après les autres, par un dispositif d’hologrammes en son sein.<br />
<br />
Cette collection qui défile, autant que lanterne elle-même, porte la complexité
et la symbolique des relations qui se sont liées autour leur matérialité,
incomplète et imprenable.<br />

<br />
Is a antique lucky lantern, repaired and then enhanced with filters and patterns, hung at an angle as if swayed by the wind and suddenly stopped. It contains a series of objects digitized by photogrammetry, displayed one after the other by a hologram device within it. <br /><br />
This collection, as much as the lantern itself, carries the complexity and symbolism of the relationships that have formed around their materiality, incomplete and elusive.<br />

<br />
Est une installation de plaques de plexiglas et de verre, disposées sur un sol
carrelé. Des fragments d’image ont été apposés à celles-ci, par transfert. J’ai
utilisé la grille du carrelage pour découper une image agrandie à l’échelle de
l’espace, et en subtiliser une sélection de fragments. Cette image, c’est un
papier peint, fleuri, celui d’une maison, en fond de la dissolution des liens qui
m’y retiennent.<br />
<br />
La découpe du sol fait de l’image originelle, une image partielle. Une image<br />en cours de chargement, ou d’être détruite. Ce papier peint, qui ne sera pas
donné à vue, est un objet dans ma collection de symboles à la fois familiers et
étranges, avec juste assez de distance pour qu’ils se trouvent hors de ma portée.<br />
<br />
Le travail de répétition en épuise le motif, avec des superpositions de verre brisés sur lesquels sont travaillés la même image à échelle réduite.<br />
<br />Un seul ajout s’incorpore à l’ensemble, en dehors du motif : une extrusion photographique imprimée en 3D, qui est une photo prise dans la rue dans
laquelle se trouve la maison. La maison est vide mais semble s’être écoulée
dans la rue, et j’y retrouve les mêmes images, comme ce lion que l’on trouve à
l’entrée des temples, au fur et à mesure des parcelles.<br />

<u>Dismantling the wall and picking up the leftovers</u><br /><br />Is an installation of plexiglass and glass plates, arranged on a tiled floor. Image fragments have been applied to these plates using transfer techniques. I used the grid of the tiling to cut out an enlarged image at the scale of the space and to select a series of fragments. This image is a floral wallpaper, from a house where lies my dissolving ties linking me to it. <br />
<br />The cutting of the floor turns the original image into a partial one, an image in the process of loading or being destroyed. This wallpaper, which will not be visible, is an object in my collection of symbols that are both familiar and strange, with just enough distance to remain out of reach.<br />
<br />The repetitive work exhausts the pattern, with superimposed broken glass plates featuring the same image at a reduced scale. <br /><br />A single addition is incorporated into the ensemble outside of the pattern: a photographic extrusion printed in 3D, which is a photo taken in the street where the house is located. The house is empty but seems to have flowed into the street, and I find the same images there, such as the lion found at the entrance of temples, in each parcel.<br />

This
installation is a reflection fitting a corpus of research I am
currently working on, exploring the fictitious relationship to one's
cultural identity. I started by writing a short text (attached above)
and then formalizing the fiction through assembly. An inflatable neck
pillow is attached to breathing tubes, into which water has infiltrated,
and slowly flows onto the floor.<br />

mes grands parents ont enseigné à mes parents, se noient dans l’eau,
celle qu’on survole,celle qui vient s’écraser contre le hublot.</h5>
<h5 style="--font-scale: 0.8;">Les terres qui s’éloignent s’effacent partiellement.</h5>
<h5 style="--font-scale: 0.8;">Elles laissent place aux étendues gazeuses, qui n’ont pas d’horizon.</h5>

reste le geste, qui s’accroche au corps, comme il s’est accroché aux
lieux qui le quittent, suspendu à l’ovale de l’avion’’.</h5>
<h5>Cette
installation est une réflexion qui s’inscrit dans le corpus de
recherches que je travaille actuellement, sur le rapport fictif à son
identité culturelle. J’ai commencé par un écrire un court texte, (
joint au dessus) et puis par formaliser la fiction par assemblage. Un
oreiller cervical gonflable est accroché à des tubes respiratoires,
dans lesquels de l’eau s’est infiltrée, et s’écoule de temps à autre
sur le sol.</h5>

<u>The Hydrangeas.</u><br />

Ensemble de pièces inspirés de l’ancienne maison de mes grands parents.<br /><br />Je
suis revenue sur leurs archives, et je retombe encore ce problème
d’absence d’informations, de pourquoi, comment, depuis quand. J’ai
toujours ce besoin de donner vie aux datas manquantes, face à cette
maison, et aux documents que j’ai accumulés, qui, au final, restent
mutiques.<br />
<br /><br />
<br />J’ai
commencé par écrire un texte, qui va mener mes formes par la suite.
J’ai fait une maquette, de cette maison, et j’ai gravité autour. J’ai
incrusté des films dans les fenêtres, j’ai scanné mes collectes
d’objets et travaillé sur le motif à la surface des écrans TV. C’est
un peu une histoire de perception de ses narrations personnelles, au
littéral comme au figuré. <br />
<br /><br />
<br />J’ai
ensuite fait une résidence express, à l’Espace Bouchor, dans le 14e arrondissement de Paris. J’ai fait la rencontre de plusieurs objets en
résonance avec mes recherches de formes grâce au réseau d’antiquaires
de la porte de Vanves.<br /><br />J’en ai fait un travail sur le motif sur
plusieurs surfaces, liées à la perception de l’image, sur vitre, sur TV, et sur filtres
lenticulaires. Toutes ces reproductions m’ont permis d’agir sur la
perception du motif, et sur la répétition comme moyen narratif dans sa
finalité.<br />

<u>The Hydrangeas.</u><br />
<br />
Artworks inspired by the memory of the house where my grandparents lived. <br /><br />
I returned to
their archives, facing the recurring issue of the absence of
information—why, how, since when. <br />
<br />I
always feel the need to bring life to the missing data, facing this
house and the documents I've accumulated, which, in the end, remain
silent.<br />
<br />I
started by writing a text that will guide my forms later on. I created a
3D model and orbited around it. I embedded films in the windows,
scanned my collections of objects, and worked on the pattern on the
surface of TV screens. It's a bit like a story about the perception of
personal narratives, both literally and figuratively.<br />
<br />Next,
I conducted a brief residency at Espace Bouchor in the 14th
arrondissement of Paris. I encountered several objects resonating with
my form research through the network of antique dealers near Porte de
Vanves. I worked on the printed image, on various surfaces related to
perception—on glass, on TV, and on lenticular filters. <br />
<br />
All
these reproductions allowed me to act on the perception of the motif
and on repetition as a narrative means in its finality. It also allowed
me to weave a more coherent connection between text and forms,
narration, and object collection.<br />
